Los Angeles based cinematographer & photographer from Chicago (Munster, Indiana actually). Michael Gauthier (Go•tee•aye) studied at Columbia College Chicago where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Cinema Arts & Science with a concentration in cinematography. After college, Michael spent two years working as an in-house cinematographer at the worldwide ad agency, FCB. In 2017, Michael moved to Los Angeles as a freelance cinematographer. Michael prides himself in adaptability with his experience in commercials, feature films, music videos, documentaries, and more. Michael can also also direct in the commercial world, along with shooting stills in tandem with motion.
In his free time, you’ll find him in his garage fixing something on his 1974 Corvette Stingray while watching the ///NASCAR race.
